Best Kululu alternatives in 2026
Kululu is a good app. Most people who go looking for an alternative are running into one of two things: the upload cap on the cheaper plans, or how quickly the gallery expires.
Why couples go looking
Kululu works. Guests scan a code, a page opens, photos go up. If you are here, it is usually not because the app failed. It is because of one of two numbers.
The upload cap. The free plan stops at a hundred photos and videos. Plus stops at five hundred. Five hundred sounds generous, and then you do the arithmetic: a hundred guests taking five photos each is exactly five hundred. Guests have no idea a cap exists, so the people who hit it are whoever uploads last, which is usually the ones still dancing.
The clock. On the free plan, uploads are kept for seven days and the event stays open for twenty-four hours. Plus keeps three months, Pro keeps a year. Wedding photos have a habit of surfacing late, when someone finally clears their camera roll.
What to actually compare
Ignore the headline price for a moment and check three things on any app you look at, including ours.
Does the cheapest plan cap uploads? Plenty of apps advertise a low entry price that quietly limits how much your guests can share.
How long do you keep the files? There are two clocks, not one: how long guests can upload, and how long you can download afterwards. They are often different numbers.
Are downloads full resolution? A gallery you cannot get the originals out of is a rental, not an album.
An honest note
We build Posy, so treat our ranking with the scepticism it deserves. What we can do is show our working: every figure on this page was read from the company’s own pricing page on the date shown, not copied from a comparison site, and we have listed what Kululu does better than us at the top of the list.
What else is worth a look.
We have only listed figures we could read on a company's own pricing page. Where a price is not published openly, we say so rather than guess. Checked 23 August 2026.

Before you switch.
Usually the upload cap. The free plan stops at 100 photos and videos and Plus stops at 500, which a hundred-guest wedding can reach without anyone realising. The other common reason is timing: the free plan keeps uploads for 7 days and stays open for 24 hours from the event date.
No. It does the core job well, it has a genuinely free tier that we do not offer, and the live photo wall is a nice touch at a reception. If those fit what you need, stay with it.
Kululu Pro is $99 for unlimited uploads and one year of storage. Posy's $99 plan is unlimited uploads and twelve months for 200 or more guests, and if your wedding is smaller the same terms cost $29 or $59.
Download your gallery from Kululu first, while your storage window is still open. No wedding photo app imports directly from another, so the practical move is to download everything, then start fresh.
